Backed by EDBI, Revolut will triple its Singapore team as CFO Victor Stinga shares the company's long-term vision for growth in Southeast Asia

Revolut will triple its Singapore-based workforce over the next three years as it deepens its presence in Southeast Asia.

The plan, supported by Singapore Economic Development Board’s investment unit, EDBI, follows a year in which the company doubled headcount in the city-state.

Victor Stinga, Chief Financial Officer of Revolut, says: ā€œThis strategic investment from EDBI is a strong endorsement of Revolut’s long-term vision in Asia and of Singapore’s role as our regional anchor.

ā€œIt strengthens our ability to invest with discipline and ambition - scaling our product capabilities, deepening our regional presence and building resilient operations to support sustained growthā€.

Victor’s framing puts resilience alongside growth and positions Singapore as a regional anchor where capital, regulation and talent intersect. EDBI’s support anchors the investment case, while Singapore offers a stable base for scaling product and operations at pace.

Talent density to drive operational resilience

Revolut has tied its expansion to a hiring philosophy designed for what it calls talent density – a high concentration of top performers.

In a 2025 company podcast, Andrei Oprisor, Head of Revolut People, explains that the recruitment model rests on three pillars: a candidate’s track record of impact, skills demonstrated in action and the diversity of attitudes and perspectives that add to culture.

Andrei says: ā€œYou don't want to end up with an organisation of mercenaries. You want visionary employees – people who truly care about the problems you are solving and get a sense of purpose from what they are doing.ā€

That stance shows up in process design. Alongside submitting a CV, many candidates complete a role-relevant skills test. Top performers from these assessments are automatically shortlisted, after which their CVs are reviewed.

According to Revolut, the approach has cut time to hire by 30–40% while sustaining a high bar. The emphasis on tested capability aims to reduce management overheads and create room for faster iteration without diluting standards.

Developing a Singapore hub

The company plans to grow high-skilled teams across product development, engineering, data and artificial intelligence as it strengthens its Singapore hub for regional expansion.

The headcount in Singapore doubled between 2024 and 2025, laying a foundation for the next phase of growth.

That trajectory has been recognised with Great Place to Work status for Revolut Singapore, awarded on the basis of employee feedback.

The recognition cites a culture of innovation and strong satisfaction, underscoring the link between ambitious hiring and employee experience during rapid scaling.

Revolut's approach to building company culture can be seen in its ā€˜Dream Team’ model – operating like a professional sports team that will hire, develop and place elite athletes where they can win.

The effect is to align individual mastery with team performance, a useful pattern in environments where speed and precision must co-exist.

Raymond Ng, CEO of Revolut Singapore and Southeast Asia

Raymond Ng, CEO of Revolut Singapore and Southeast Asia, shared the news on LinkedIn, saying: “I’m incredibly proud of our Dream Team in Singapore. Their drive, curiosity and commitment to excellence are what make Revolut Singapore the place it is today – and what will take us even further tomorrow.”
