Circle Hunts for new CFO as Jeremy Fox-Geen Steps Down
Jeremy Fox-Geen, CFO of Circle Internet Group (Circle), announces his intention to step down.
Circle, which was founded by Jeremy Allaire and Sean Nevill in 2013, is an infrastructure provider for stablecoins, as well as an issuer for USDC.
Jeremy Fox-Geen will remain as CFO to ensure a smooth transition until the end of Circle’s fiscal year in December 2026, unless a successor is appointed before then.

Stablecoin giant says goodbye to the finance chief
The fintech has the world’s largest stablecoin network anchored by USDC, used by BlackRock, BNY and Standard Chartered.
In its H2 2026 results, Circle reports that the value of USDC in circulation has reached US$73.3bn – a growth of 19% YoY.
USDC on-chain transaction volume saw an accelerated growth at 151% YoY, reaching US$14.8tn.
In the same results, Circle’s revenue and reserve income grew 7% YoY to be US$701m.

Financial leadership and IPO hero
Jeremy joined Circle in 2021 as the company’s CFO, supporting its long-term success and growth.
He helped to build the company’s financial organisation, which Circle describes as “strong”, in addition to supporting and contributing to the strong growth of the company over the course of five years.

In 2025, Jeremy was responsible for taking Circle public to the tune of US$1.2bn.
Jeremy continues: “Having achieved many milestones, it is now the right time for me to step down and take a break before my next chapter.

BNY: A long-term partner of Circle, BNY’s Digital Asset Custody platform will feature USDC as its first stablecoin. Clients of BNY can transfer, store, mint and burn USDC. The relationship first blossomed in 2022 when both companies announced that BNY was selected as a primary custodian for USDC reserves.
JCB: Japanese card network JCB partnered with Circle via a MoU to explore USDC stablecoin payments across JCB's international retail merchant network and cross-border treasury management operations
Nium: Circle connected USDC settlement to Nium's cross-border payout platform to optimise global, multi-currency corporate payments.
Standard Chartered: Circle recently launched direct bank-rail access with the bank, enabling institutional clients to mint and redeem USDC via the bank’s platform.
Grupo Bind: Collaborated to bring institutional USDC access and fiat-to-stablecoin liquidity to Argentina.
