Fugro Welcomes Emiel Jongerius as Future CFO

Emiel Jongerius joins Fugro as its incoming CFO, as of November, to optimise the financials of the business says CEO Mark Heine

Fugro, a geo-data specialist, announces that it is receiving a refreshed look for its executive leadership team. 

Emiel Jongerius, a finance executive with at least 25 years of experience, will be joining the company as its next Chief Financial Officer come November, subject to approvals. 

Emiel will replace Barbara Geelen, who stepped down earlier this year.

Financial and leadership experience

Emiel brings a proven track record of results, utilising his experience in enterprise financial planning and analysis across a range of disciplines. 

He joins from Just Eat Takeaway as VP of Global Finance Business Services in Procurement and Supply Chain. 

Previously, he served as CFO and Head of Strategy for Signify, managing its €1.8bn (US$2.09bn) Lamps portfolio.

Prior to that, Emiel continued to build an impressive leadership portfolio in finance at Philips Lighting, where he was for 15 years; ultimately departing from his VP & Head of Financial Planning and Analysis role for Signify.

Emiel brings not only finance and leadership experience to the company, but also expertise in commercial and operational strategy. 

His prior roles position him to bring intelligence on procurement, customer negotiations, logistics and working capital management.
