Kyriba is embedding Viewpost Check Optimization to help finance teams convert remaining paper checks into electronic payments without disrupting workflows

Kyriba has announced the integration of Viewpost Check Optimization as an embedded service within its platform.

The offering aims to help corporate finance teams convert remaining paper check payments into electronic alternatives without forcing changes to existing banking relationships, treasury operations or accounts payable (AP) workflows.

Despite heavy investments in treasury technology, many enterprise organisations still rely on paper checks for a portion of supplier payments.

These residual checks drive unnecessary expenses across printing, postage, reissuance and reconciliation, while increasing fraud exposure and operational friction.

Financial impact and workflow preservation

By activating the service, eligible payments that would otherwise be printed and mailed are redirected to electronic delivery based on supplier enrollment and payment preferences.

Viewpost manages supplier outreach, enrollment and payment optimisation directly, allowing companies to continuously shrink paper check volumes.

“Our partnership with Viewpost gives them a practical way to address one of the last remaining barriers to payment modernisation, using the infrastructure they already trust. It's another example of how Kyriba extends value with solutions that deliver measurable financial impact.”

Beyond administrative savings, the integration creates opportunities for CFOs and treasurers to generate incremental rebate revenue from payments that historically produced no financial return.

Because the service activates through Kyriba, corporate finance departments can modernise payment operations without embarking on a custom technology project.

Overcoming supplier enrollment barriers

For treasury leaders, the primary hurdle in eliminating checks has often been supplier onboarding rather than internal processing capabilities.

Max Eliscu, CEO of Viewpost says: “Large enterprises have already modernised most of their payment operations. The remaining challenge is not the ability to process electronic payments; it is reaching and enabling the suppliers that are still being paid by check.

“Together with Kyriba, we have given finance teams a practical way to close that gap, converting residual checks to electronic payments while preserving the banks, payment providers, and AP workflows they already rely on."

Viewpost Check Optimization will be available through Kyriba later this year, with customers able to activate the service via their existing account representatives.

Enterprise scale and infrastructure

The joint initiative combines significant technological scale on both sides of the transaction. Kyriba operates as a cloud-based Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) platform serving 4,000 customers globally.

Its infrastructure processes 3.6 billion bank transactions and US$51tn in payment volume across a network of 10,000 banks each year.

Designed to assist CFOs, treasurers and IT executives with liquidity management, the software incorporates agentic artificial intelligence (TAI) to automate financial workflows and support forecasting.

Complementing this network, Viewpost functions as a digital payments provider specialising in real-time check conversion for enterprise AP departments.

The firm operates a proprietary payments network and optimisation engine delivered through financial institution partnerships, technology integrations and direct corporate relationships.

By executing supplier outreach and routing, Viewpost targets lower transaction costs and reduced risk profiles while driving additional rebate revenue for users without requiring a overhaul of existing payment infrastructure.
