GE HealthCare has announced the appointment of William ‘Bill’ Grogan as its new Chief Financial Officer, effective 14 September 2026, succeeding Jay Saccaro, who stepped down last month to pursue a role outside medical technology.
George Newcomb, who has served as interim CFO, will continue as Controller and Chief Accounting Officer.
Bill joins from Xylem, where he has been Executive Vice President and CFO since 2023, leading the integration of a US$7.5bn acquisition.
Before Xylem, he spent more than a decade at IDEX Corporation, including six years as Senior Vice President and CFO, where he helped reposition the portfolio toward higher-growth markets and supported a doubling of the company's market capitalisation.
Bill also held finance roles at Walgreens, Crane Co and Sears Holdings Corporation.
“I'm honoured to join GE HealthCare as Chief Financial Officer and grateful to Peter Arduini and the leadership team for the opportunity,” Bill says.
“GE HealthCare's purpose of creating a world where healthcare has no limits is deeply compelling and I'm excited to be part of a company with such a strong legacy, global reach and a clear commitment to advancing precision care and improving outcomes for patients around the world.
“I look forward to partnering with Pete, the leadership team and colleagues across the business to serve patients and customers, support innovation, drive disciplined execution and create long-term value for patients, customers, colleagues and shareholders.”
Peter, GE HealthCare's President and CEO, says he is excited that Bill will help lead the company's next chapter of growth, adding that he combines strong financial leadership with an operator's mindset.
