PIMCO Provides US$174m to Ingenico for Innovation

Ingencio, a leader in payment acceptance that provides millions of payment devices to customers, has announced that it has received €150m (US$174m) in funding.
The funding is aimed at bolstering the company’s customer strategy, as Ingenico says it will use the funds to “raise the bar on customer excellence”.
In addition, the company says that the funds will also be directed toward product innovation to support its broader aims and reputation.
Joanne Bennett, CFO of Ingencio, comments: “A proud moment for Ingenico today.
“We’ve reached an agreement to reset our capital structure, anchored by a €150m (US$174m) investment from a PIMCO-led group of global investors.
“This is an important step for the business. It strengthens Ingenico’s financial position and gives us greater flexibility to invest in our future.
“Behind the scenes, this has required a huge amount of work, focus and collaboration. I want to thank Floris de Kort, Senay Gurel, the teams involved and to our external advisers at Rothschild & Co and Latham & Watkins for their commitment through a complex process.
“The work does not stop here. With the right financial structure in place, our focus is on execution, investment, and growth. Proud of what we have achieved together and looking forward to helping Ingenico make the most of what comes next.”
International customer support
One product mentioned is Ingenico’s AXIUM family of android devices, which was created to support banks, fintechs, merchants and acquirers.
It is designed to be intuitive to customer experience, demonstrating the company’s key mission to support its customers.
Customer support will be bolstered as the funding also supports the global footprint of the customer excellence team.
New locations will include hubs such as London, San Francisco and Istanbul as the company targets worldwide support in key markets.
A new vision for the company
Ingenico notes that its new CEO, appointed in late 2025, has stressed a focus on next-generation payment acceptance technology through cloud platforms; again focusing on customer satisfaction as he aims to make the company faster and simpler to use.
Floris de Kort, CEO of Ingenico, notes: “This agreement gives Ingenico the ability to move faster on the priorities that matter most: building great products, simplifying payment operations and delivering for our customers and partners.
“With a strong balance sheet and new capital in place, we can execute better and invest in the areas that will define our next phase. We have the foundation, the priorities and a team that knows how to deliver.
“I’ve never been more confident that Ingenico’s best years are ahead of us.”
Ingenico 360 serves as the business’s unified cloud platform, consolidating application management, transaction services, analytics and device controls into one ecosystem.
Concurrently, the Ingenico Developer Journey offers ISVs and partners direct access to APIs, comprehensive documentation, and tools designed to accelerate the creation, certification, and launch of new offerings.
