CEO and Co-Founder of Remote Job van der Voort speaks to Finance Chief about the new expansion in light of cross-border complexities

Global workforce finance platform Remote has unveiled a complete brand redesign and repositioning to reflect its expanding market role.

The company now enables businesses to hire and pay talent across more than 150 countries through a single accountable system.

Created in partnership with brand agency COLLINS, the repositioning comes as Remote experiences rapid growth in its core operational metrics.

The company currently processes billions in payroll annually and has recorded 300% year-over-year growth in its payroll business.

Speaking to Finance Chief exclusively, Job van der Voort, CEO and Co-Founder of Remote, says: “Payday sounds simple until you're the one responsible for it landing correctly in dozens of countries, in the right currencies, under the right rules. Get it wrong and someone can't pay their rent.

“That's the problem we built this company to own, and it's why we call ourselves the financial operating system for the global workforce. The new brand says it out loud.”

The move addresses hurdles faced by finance leaders specifical managing international teams.

Remote says that due to increasing operational difficulty with cross-border payments, its infrastructure can support the complexities arising.

Remote's owned infrastructure handles Employer of Record services, compliance systems and local entity management in-house.

Demand for cross-border payroll infrastructure is also widening beyond tech sector early adopters.

While firms such as Anthropic, Box, GitLab, Lovable, Vercel, Miro, Datadog and Zapier use the platform, Remote reports rising adoption across broader industries looking to consolidate workforce expenditure and data.

The company passed US$300m in ARR earlier this year.

Streamlining global payroll infrastructure

Through its core capabilities, the payroll platform is scaling to meet the demand of increasing cross-border payment.

Remote's system unifies payroll, employment records and operational workforce data within one system of record, eliminating hand-reconciled spreadsheets.

The platform supports direct employment, contractor management and Employer of Record setups on a single architecture.

This allows finance leaders to adjust international hiring strategies without rebuilding payroll workflows from scratch.

Local compliance and payroll specialists track regulatory changes across active markets, while open API access allows internal development teams to build custom integrations.

Global brand campaign rollout

To support the repositioning, Remote is launching its largest marketing effort to date, titled ‘For a World That Works’.

Produced with Stink Studios, the campaign includes digital and out-of-home advertising across major financial hubs, including London, New York, Paris, Frankfurt, Amsterdam, Madrid and San Francisco throughout the fourth quarter of 2026.

The updated visual identity incorporates design elements tied to global commerce.

The new colour palette draws from currency notes in over 77+ countries worldwide, featuring gradients of reds, oranges, greens, blues and violets.

The primary visual symbol is a structural cube, representing modular infrastructure units that combine to support custom corporate frameworks.
